I'm not turning this into a political website! However, it bothers me when someone runs for public office only in their own interest or the interest of their own political party. I personally think they should be elected only on the issues at hand, their credentials and the promises they make. Not the political party they're affiliated with. Personslly, I don't give a rat's ass if someone is a Democrat, Republican or Any Other political party. I wish they would do away with the vote straight ticket option in the elections. It seems "Our" own elected leaders fight amoung themselves when something needs to be done just because it's not in the best interest of their political party. I think we should have term limits in all elected offices. One person should not be allowed to hold a seat in Congress, Senate or any other office for 30 or 40 years. When I get too old to drive a car, I don't think I would be capable of making important decisions that would affect not only Americans but the entire world. 

How did the United States of America become the world police? Everytime there is a crisis or conflict anywhere in the world, everyone just expects America to intervene. Please don't get me wrong. I'm all for helping people in need. However, our country is hurting too. We can't even afford to pay our teachers to educate our children. Most states claim to be broke and without a plan to fix the problem. By the time most of us reach retirment age, there probably won't be any social security left after we've been paid into this program all our lives.

Does anyone know who gave our elected leaders the athority to allow China to absorb our nation's debt? Is that why everything you see in the big department stores is made in China? Are they holding this over our heads for trade deals? I cringe when I think of what our next generation is going to have to deal with because of our negligence and incompetence to fix this problem. I don't have the solution but I hope someone will soon. Maybe we should elect successful business people instead of just another career politician. Just think about this. If someone has never operated a successful business, how can they successfully run our country? 

This free trade agreement deal seems to be a little out of balance to me. Go to any local department store and try to buy only American made products. Good luck! What was they thinking when they sent all of our American jobs overseas? Now they can't understand why our unemployment rate is so high. Please, buy "Made In USA" products every chance you get. As an American, I'm tired of sending millions of U.S. dollars per day buying oil overseas from these nations who don't like us anyway. I recently purchased a new car. One of my requirements was that it must run on Flex Fuel. I always try to buy E85 fuel. Although there is times when I can't find a station that carries it and I have to buy gas. On average, I pay 30-40 cents less per gallon and 85% of E85 is grown by "American Farmers" and is 105 octane. If your local convenience store doesn't sell it, ask the manager if their company has plans to sell E85 in the near future. I only hope I get to see it in my lifetime. My hat is off to people like this who think outside the box. I started sending e-mails about ten years ago to all the major car manufacturing companies, politicians and DOT officials in Washington. I was told by one person in Washington that if we lost all the tax revenue from the sell of gasoline, it would upset our economy. Other sources told me that the big oil companies would try to pay off or block any attempt to upset their profits. I don't like the idea of being held hostage by these big oil companies who are taking us to the cleaners. They play games with the fuel prices in the name of supply & demand. I long for the day when we can tell the big oil companies, sorry fellows but we don't need your fossil fuel any more!
